I when to visit the Centre for Life where an exhibition called 'Primitive Streak' was on by 'Helen Storey', It is an unique collaboration between fashion and science.
The dresses tell about the journey that the human embryo undertakes in its first 1,000 hours of life.
The exhibition wasn't what I expected it was quite small and there was only 10 dresses.
My favorite out of all of them had to be the sperm coat the way it was made and up close it was beautiful, the coat was made out of nylon and cotton threads embroidered onto dissolvable cloth, that when soaked in cool water, the backing to fell away to reveal the fabric made.
I also liked the spinal column dress it wasn't that great on the mannequin but on a proper model it looked amazing, what with the real life replical of a spine plated in aluminium foil going down the back and the DNA sequence pattern on the dress it really looked something.
The Sperm Coat.
